Marian qualified in 1987 from the Chelsea School of Chiropody (part of the University of Westminster).
Previously, Marian worked at her clinic in Knightsbridge (London) and Park Street (Bristol). She has additionally worked in the NHS and set up the Paediatric gait clinic in Musgrove Park Hospital (Taunton).
Marian started the Foot and Gait clinic in Taunton in 1989 and in 2017 constructed the purpose built gait analysis clinic, alongside a functional foot orthoses lab.
She works in the gait analysis clinic and orthotic lab, and has an interest in the biomechanics of musculoskeletal problems.
Eve qualified in 1995 from the University of Brighton with a BSc Hons in Podiatry.
She has worked, privately, in the Foot and Gait Clinic since qualifying, both in Taunton and in Bristol. As well as treating general foot conditions, Eve uses her background in dance to specialise in dance related injuries.
Eve has done professional development courses on foot mobilisations and soft tissue work - complementing our musculoskeletal work here at the practice.
Eve works in the gait analysis clinic and orthotic lab, and has an interest in the biomechanics of musculoskeletal problems.
Chris previously worked in Birmingham as a registered nurse in the NHS, before spending two years working in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He retrained and qualified in 1996 with a BSc Hons (Podiatry).
He has worked in the NHS and had an interest in diabetic foot care and completed a diabetic foot module course, whilst working in Derby. He has also worked in the field of bespoke functional orthoses offering technical support to podiatrists. Additionally, Chris has lectured in the UK and abroad.
For the last five years, he has been working at the Foot and Gait Clinic providing general foot treatments, nail surgery and has a special interest in the treatment of verrucas and warts. He is trained in the use of Swift® microwave therapy for warts and veruccae. Additionally, Chris uses Lunula Laser™ therapy to treat fungal nail infections (onychomycosis). He also carries out home and nursing home visits.
Alicia qualified in 2014 at the University of Plymouth, with a BSc (Hons) Podiatry.
She works within the Foot and Gait Clinic, where she is able to produce functional orthoses. She has done professional development courses on foot mobilisations and soft tissue work - complementing our musculoskeletal work here at the practice.
Alicia also runs several of our external clinics and has an interest in the biomechanics of musculoskeletal problems.
Alastair qualified from the university of Plymouth in 2018 with a Bsc (Hons) Podiatry. He has worked at the Foot and Gait Clinic since graduation.
He provides general foot treatments, nail surgery and has an interest in the biomechanics of musculoskeletal problems. He also makes orthoses in our lab.
Alastair can prescribe prescription only medicines (POMS) and he also runs some of our outside clinics.
Sport and Remedial Massage Therapists
David trained with the London School of Sport and Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy. He is registered with the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage (ISRM) and the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
He comes to the clinic with over 15 years of experience of working with athletes as a coach and has worked with not only elite athletes, but has also taken many age group athletes to European and World championships.
David is also trained as a Medical Acupuncturist and may use Medical Acupuncture for the purpose of muscular pain relief as part of your treatment.
He has competed to a high level as a Cyclist, Triathlete and Ultra Runner. David can align with your specific needs and will always treat bringing in a wide range of techniques to help.
Juliet originally trained as an ITEC Massage Therapist, then developed her knowledge and expertise with the London School of Sport and Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy. She is registered with the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage (ISRM), and also the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) - both regulatory bodies in setting standards for professionals.
She comes to the clinic with over 20 years experience of treating people from a wide range of backgrounds - from the young to the elderly, the athlete to the more sedentary, and also people with medical conditions.
Juliet is also trained in Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage. Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage involves the application of specific light techniques which assist in the movement of lymph, thereby assisting in the decongestion of the lymphatic and circulatory systems. This can help patients who have swelling by reducing water retention as part of your treatment.
Her personal passion lies in endurance sports, where she has competed at a high level in marathon running, triathlons, and more recently ultra running. Amongst other running races, she has competed in several London Marathons, and also competed in the prestigious World Ironman Championships held in Hawaii.
Juliet brings an empathetic approach to her treatment sessions, and matches the most suitable techniques to your specific needs.
Naomi trained at the University of Nottingham in Dietetics. She then completed a Masters at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in Public Health Nutrition.
Dietitians are qualified health professionals that assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems.
Naomi has worked in a number of hospitals around the country, including Birmingham Children's Hospital and Bristol Royal Hospital for Children
She is able to help with a large variety of nutritional problems, including weight loss and gain, food intolerances, IBS and breast feeding support and assessment.
