Plantar fasciitis & Heel Pain

Heel pain is a regular complaint we see in clinic on a daily basis. When heel pain starts, it can be completely debilitating and can really affect your physical and mental health. Here at the foot and gait clinic we pride our selves on being able to accurately diagnose quickly, comprehensively assess you and get you starting a treatment plan as soon as possible so you can get back doing the things you love. Typical diagnoses are Plantarfasciitis, baxters neurtitis, fat pad atrophy, L4/L5 radiculopathy, calcaneal fractures etc.

We like to take an accurate approach by diagnosing your heel pain with assessment and diagnostic ultrasound. Its then important to know why the condition is there and its likely you will be advised for a biomechanical assessment and slow motion video gait analysis. Sometimes we will also use 3D gait analysis and pressure plate analysis. By doing this we know how you function mechanicallya nd how that all works together when you walk/run. With this data we can then advise you on the best treatments that are most likely to work.
