Verrucae needling is a minor surgical procedure performed under local anaesthetic for the permanent removal of stubborn verrucae and warts. Verruca needling works by causing a cell-mediated immune response at the affected area
It is generally performed when other treatments haven’t worked and in 75% of patients only one treatment is necessary.
Needling works in a different way to other verruca treatments, (such as caustics, freezing and heating) as these can require several treatments to reduce the verruca. It is not suitable for patients under the age of 18 years.
